What's happen since?

What's happen since my last post a year ago. Well I have not lost any more weight and I've been bouncing back and forth 5lbs. It's been frustrating to say the least. I've discovered how truely sensitive my body is to food. I'll be down 3-5 lbs then eat a cupcake and I'm back up 5lbs. It's truely frustrating for me because it will take a 2 hour workout to get it back off. Another example is I'll eat healthy all week long but one free day erases 6 days of eating healthy. Food will be my forever battle like it or not.

As for my fitness routine, I met a member of my gym who needed a running partner too. We've become good friends since September 2010 and run together every Saturday. We also started personal training together at the gym and became friends with our personal trainers. Who we say we hate but really love outside of the gym. Even though I've been fluxuating in my weight they have told me that they can see the difference in my body shape. They were proud of us after our first 12 weeks of training even though the scale only registered a 4lb lost the measurements were good.

My running friend and I had been training for the Heels and Hills half marathon this year. Having a partner to train with has really improved my running long distances. Each week increasing our miles until we reached 13 miles. My goal this year for the half was not only to survive but to finish in 2 hours 30 minutes taking 2 minutes off my time last year.

The day of the race was raining and cold but the race was still on. My friend that I run with every week had a goal time of 2hr20m. She's crazy, I know. So she ran ahead while the friend I ran with last year stayed with me. Before the race begain we were instructed to take cover if a thunder storm approached. The race begain and we were off, with a run time of +2 minutes ahead of schedule without stopping. When at mile 10 an official told us they had called off the race becuase of a storm quickly approaching. We were instructed that if we could finish the last 3 miles in 30 minutes then we could continue other wise we had to go to the nearist police station. By the time we decised to contiue the race we had lost our 2 minute advange we had but was still timed to finish at exactly 2 hours and 30 minutes. Even with the storm fast approaching and on my mind we approached a pillivan and a couple of officials were trying to force us under the pillivan due to the storm. Just as we were almost to the pillivan they let all the runners continue on the race. I was starting to get tired and slow down but I had also gain back a 15 second lead in time. As we approached the last mile the officials shortened the race by half a mile. Therefore instead of running the 13.1 miles the race was 12.5. We finish in 2 hours 19 minutes with me placing 13th in my catagory. Oh as for that storm, it turned a different direction and did not even hit the race. Better to be safe than sorry. It was still a great race.

We are now training for our next half marathon in December. My friend says we will race in 2 10K's and 2 Half Marathons each year. I say as long as my body will allow me than lets RACE!
